2-week fosters needed this summer

Jenny Craig is currently in a foster-to-adopt home! Paws crossed her foster decides to adopt her.

Make a difference in the life of a shelter rabbit—foster with House Rabbit Society this summer!

Fostering one animal won't change the world, but it will change the world for that one animal. Whether you're home from school, working remotely, or simply have a little more time these next few months, fostering is a short-term commitment that makes a long-term difference. Even if you’re only available for part of the summer, we’d love to hear from you! We only ask for a minimum 2-week commitment, but you’re welcome to foster longer if your summer schedule allows.

What We Provide: We'll equip you with all the supplies you need to get started, including an x-pen, litter box, bedding, food pellets, hay, blankets, and bowls for food and water. As a foster, you also receive a 15% discount at the HRS Hop Shop if you'd like to purchase any toys or treats while you foster or additional supplies.

What You Provide: The time, space, love, and care your foster rabbit needs, along with their daily greens (approximately $5-10 per week). Getting socialization in a foster home is so important, especially for rabbits who are shy or have other behavior needs and helping them become more comfortable with people. You can help a foster rabbit blossom into the wonderful house rabbit they're truly meant to be!

Fortune Cookie was adopted by his foster family after spending several weeks in their home.

Fostering is a short-term, high-impact way to help a rabbit in need. It's amazing what a couple weeks in a calm, caring home can do for a shy or nervous rabbit. Your support helps them open up, gain confidence, and prepare for adoption. And by fostering, you also help us make room at our shelter for more rabbits who need to be transferred in from local shelters.

It’s also a great opportunity for anyone who has been thinking about adopting but aren't quite sure if a rabbit is the right fit. It’s a chance to experience what it’s like caring for a rabbit and whether you like having one in your home or not.
