Onsite Spay and Neuter Training

House Rabbit Society believes it is imperative to provide veterinary professionals with access to spay and neuter training. Through our Veterinary Training Initiative, professionals in all veterinary roles - Registered Veterinary Technician, Veterinarian, Veterinary Assistant and pre-veterinary students - are provided hands on training in rabbit spay, neuter, intubation and post surgery recovery protocols. These trainings are often limited in veterinary schools of medicine therefore providing access to safe training opportunities will help increase the number of veterinarians and clinics that see rabbits as patients.

Currently we have partnered with Carrington College as well as UC Berkeley to provide their students with access to hands on training that is necessary for them to complete for their veterinary programs.

If you are a veterinarian who would like to come to our facility to learn more about rabbit spays and neuters, reach out via email to rabbit-center@houserabbit.org to coordinate a day. Onsite medical days are every Wednesday unless otherwise noted.
