Foster for House Rabbit Society
Make a meaningful difference for at-risk shelter rabbits. Our foster volunteers give our rabbits a wonderful temporary home while they’re waiting to be adopted. Often, this is the first time a foster rabbit has had a comfortable, loving space.
We’ll match you with a rabbit who’s right for your experience and provide you with all the supplies you need to get started. You provide the love and attention your foster rabbit deserves! We only ask for a 2-week commitment but you may choose to extend your time with your foster rabbit.
Questions? Email foster@houserabbit.org and we can talk more with you!

Special neurological rabbit Skittles loved being pampered.
Energetic rabbit Loaf loved exploring new spaces in foster.
Fostering is a great way to learn about rabbits before committing to adopting! We offer a free Rabbit Care 101 class on Zoom you can take to learn more about getting your space ready for a rabbit and how to care for them.
For those with a little more experience, we are always looking for fosters for rabbits who need medication, shy rabbits who need more socialization, and behavior rabbits who may nip.
