Tried and True Products
By: Cait Reizman and Matt Cummins
Looking to treat your rabbit? Here are ten of our favorite products our bunnies have tested over the years:
1. Oxbow Wobble Teaser
You’ll love getting to watch your bunny push and boop this around while they get extra exercise and enrichment at pellet time. We’ve been especially impressed with the durability. Our one bunny has even learned to pick it up and throw it, and it’s still intact.

2. Fun 4 Bunnies Fruity Balsa Fling
These come in different flavors, and they never last more than a day before they’re devoured. We’ve found that their size and shape make for especially good stocking stuffers at the holidays.

3. BB Willow Basket
Another toy that probably won’t remain fully intact for more than a day, but your rabbit will love you for it. Chewing on the tasty willow is good for your bunny’s teeth and, even better, a distraction from your baseboards. We’ve also had fun with putting salad in the baskets to give our bunnies dinner in a “bread bowl.”
$4.99-6.99 (multiple sizes available) at HRS Hop Shop
4. Safari Soft Tip Comb
This is the most effective brush for grooming we’ve tried yet, and it’s easy to clean!
$8.49 at Chewy
5. First Years Stacking Cups
Made for babies but safe for bunnies, your rabbit will love knocking over towers of stacked cups, pulling apart nested cups to find treats and pellets you’ve hidden among them, and flinging the cups around, especially into their water bowl. My bunnies have used these every day for 5 years–they’re easy to wash and virtually indestructible.

6. Kaytee Vege-T-Bowls
Make meal time even cuter by seeing your rabbit eat their veggies out of bowls that look like veggies! These are dishwasher safe and heavy enough that my rabbits have never been able to flip them over. The carrot bowl is the perfect size for a salad for 1-2 rabbits. The lettuce bowl would be also, but we use it for their water.
$10.99 for Carrot Bowl and $9.99 for Lettuce Bowl at Chewy
7. Snuffle Mats
Snuffle mats are great for hiding treats and pellets in. They encourage natural foraging and digging behavior, giving your bunny more enrichment and exercise. You can find them in all sorts of colors and designs across the internet–check out Etsy for the really creative ones.
$15.99 at HRS Hop Shop
8. Foraging Mixes
Spice up meal time with mixes of healthy herbs and bunny-safe flowers. Foraging mixes smell great–like herbal teas–to both rabbits and humans, and they provide a variety of nutrients and flavors. If your bunny’s a picky hay eater, try sprinkling these on top for some added interest.
$7.99-$17.99 (multiple sizes available) for a 4-pack at LittleBeastTreats Etsy Shop
$10.75 at HRS Hop Shop
9. Pet Tube Soft Kennel Car Crate
We try to keep stressful car rides to a minimum, but when we have to go for a long drive, we love our soft tube crate. The tube lets our buns stretch out across the entire backseat of the car, and even fits their entire litter box inside. It’s held in place by straps that go around the backseat headrests. We have the one from Chewy shown below, but we’ve recently learned that there are others (such as the one from Amazon shown below) without the lower vents so you can worry less about leaks.

10. IKEA Duktig Doll Bed with BunniesWithAloha Bedding Set
Whether it’s hopping up on step stools or a bed like this, there’s something bunnies like about just being a little bit above the ground. We stylize our bed with made-to-fit fleece bedding sets from BunniesWithAloha Etsy store, which offers a fun variety of patterns for every season.
