Helping Rabbit Rescues Globally

It takes a network of community members to help rabbits move from living on the streets, to making their way to shelter or rescues and then finally into their new homes with their new families. House Rabbit Society aims to support rabbits and their advocates through every step of the process. Our shelter resources and programs help alleviate some of the work look by providing tools to streamline intake processes and educational processes that support positive outcomes.

  • Rescue Cooridnation

    House Rabbit Society coordinates rabbit intake from over 35 municipal shelters. By transferring rabbits from local shelters, HRS helps the shelter free more space for displaced pets and buys the rabbits more time to find adopted homes.

    The Shelter Assistance Program is designed to support local shelters and rescues in addressing and reducing rabbit surrenders. This program aims to equip animal welfare professionals with valuable resources and tools to assist rabbit owners in resolving common issues that may lead to pet surrender.
