Did you know how much we loved you?
We kept you safe, fed and clean
We gave you endless kisses and snuggles
And against our arms you would lean
Did you know how much we loved you?
You kept us company every day
If ever one of us needed a friend
You were there in your sweet bunny way
Did you know how much we loved you?
You lived among your toys underneath the dining room table
There was cuteness in every moment
We joined you as often as we were able
Did you know how much we loved you?
We massaged your thick, soft bunny coat
And you would close your eyes in bunny bliss
Of this we did take note
Did you know how much we loved you?
You nudged yourself underneath our hands
All you wanted was for us to stroke your head
Over and over until we were forced to stand
Did you know how much we loved you?
You somehow knew when it was time for a treat
Upon our knees you placed your delicate paws
At the edge of the kitchen where we’d meet
Did you know how much we loved you?
Every six weeks we drove to see the Doc
They helped to keep you healthy
Only to the bunny whisperers did we talk
Did you know how much we loved you?
We learned how to give you a medicine dose
For your special ear condition
Daily opportunities to hold you close
Did you know how much we loved you?
We kept you safe, fed and clean
We gave you endless kisses and snuggles
And against our arms you would lean
Did you know how much we loved you?
Could you feel how much we cared?
Our eyes will forever glance your way
But you will no longer be there
